Dry Suit

Dry-suit-imageDry Suit Diving is a whole new world of diving opportunities.

There are more than 500 wrecks and artificial reef systems located a couple hours from Captain Ron’s Diving, LLC.

This Specialty course provides a total-comfort experience. You may also count this Specialty certification toward one of the five required Specialties for the Master Scuba Diver Certification.

Course Outline

The Captain Ron’s Dry Suit Specialty —centered on the PADI curriculum— is all about making students comfortable using the suit.

While students will cover the background knowledge related to dry suit diving, dry suit buoyancy control skills and dry suit maintenance and storage,most of the course time is spent in the water, learning the techniques specific to diving dry. Skills will be introduced in confined water and put to practice in two open water dives at Dutch Springs.

In addition to teaching the skills needed to enjoy diving dry, we will also introduce the different types of drysuits, their applications and the care & maintenance of drysuits.

Prerequisites

The minimum age is 12 years old with PADI OPEN WATER DIVER or JUNIOR OPEN WATER DIVER certification (or qualifying certification from another organization).
